One night we grabbed a taxi from the strip back to our hotel. There had been a short downpour of torrential desert rain about 10 minutes prior. The taxi was cruising along a four lane highway, and all of a sudden we were spinning. I don’t keep in mind how it occurred – there wasn’t any swerving and we didn’t hit anything, the road must have simply been super slippery from the dust and rain.

And Olga, my savior over the next few days, was unimpressed that the employee on the other hostel didn’t stroll us over, and warranted us his pay could be minimize that month. Wow I can’t imagine you had an analogous expertise, I hadn’t heard of anyone having trouble there before. It’s type of good to know we’re not the one ones, but it’s horrible concurrently this actually shouldn’t occur to anyone at all!
Later that afternoon we arrived in Koh Pha Ngan after a very bumpy catamaran journey, on which I had my eyes closed the complete 45 minute journey in an effort to avoid seasickness. We took a taxi to our pre-booked hotel and got ready for the get together. Apparently the ferry timetable I had found online was non-existent. She was a local who lived and labored on the island so I took her word for it and started to fret about how we’d get there.
We danced on an elevated wood stage and ordered a few of the infamous buckets of alcohol to shake off our temper from the ferry debacle and get ourselves into the get together. Moving along the seashore to check out some other areas required us to squeeze by way of a crowd of people, and as we made our way by way of I all of a sudden felt my bag get lighter.
